The BlockBuster system is BestPump's own revolutionary solution for handling and processing large solid blocks of material that cannot be pumped via conventional methods.

The BlockBuster systems use extreme force to convert awkward blocks and solids into a soft, easy to handle consistency.

Available in two configurations, using different modes of operation which are determined by scale of production, the BlockBuster solution caters for both small and large scale production.

Uni-BlockBuster

For smaller batches, the Uni-BlockBuster uses a high-capacity pneumatic piston and custom-designed extruder outlet. Blocks are handled individually and the system requires very little cleaning and results in negligible waste of product. The Uni-BlockBuster is ideal in situations where customers require absolute trace-ability and auditing of the ingredients being used.

Multi-BlockBuster

For large-scale automated processing, the Multi-BlockBuster is a brute of a machine that uses auger technology with a heavy duty positive displacement pump. This system is designed to serve as a 'set and forget' central supply system for discharging product at multiple locations around a factory. It is the perfect butter supply system for the production of butter shortbread and cookies in that it can supply butter on demand to multiple mixing vessels in different locations for different recipes.

Summary

Both systems produce the same result - consistent condition of product and exact repeatability which transfers to the final product whether it be biscuits, cookies or whatever. The outlet(s) of the system can feature an extruder, a mixer or an ultrasonic knife for portioning.

Virtually all unpumpable or hard to pump product problems are solved by BestPump's BlockBuster technology.
